Description: Useful for determining the activity of Casein Kinase 2 (CK2) or related protein serine kinase, to evaluate the effect of a test substance on CK2 activity, or to identify new physiological substrates of the enzyme. Kit provides for 200 assays. Assay is based on the reaction of CK2 or related kinase with casein and [γ-32P]ATP. Kit includes directional insert, and contains solutions of MgATP, casein, heparin, assay and dilution buffer. Unlike GLO112-01, CK2 Assay Kit 2 does not include an aliquot of purified preparations of CK2 sample. Store solutions at -70° C. Avoid repeated thawing. [γ-32P]ATP and trichloroacetic acid are not provided with kit.
